About the Role

Charity People are excited to be working in partnership with the Eden Project, a fantastic educational charity, who are looking for a new Programme Coordinator to join their growing team.

The Programme Coordinator will be responsible for providing logistic and administrative support for the Eden Project Communities programme and team to ensure the smooth delivery of the programme outcomes. Reporting to the Community Events Manager, the successful candidate will actively support event coordination and delivery as well as organise participants joining from across the UK, including arranging their travel and accommodation.

This is an exciting time to join the expanding Eden Project Team in a programme coordination role.
Your duties will include:

  • Provide administrative support - ensuring the smooth running of the programme, file management, financial record keeping and management of documentation across a geographically dispersed team.
  • Support the Community Events Manager with the set up and delivery of events on site and managing the administration and distribution of Eden Project Communities resources including storage and stock-taking.
  • Manage resources for events, fulfilment of event materials for campaigns and delegate packs for Community Camps.
  • Coordinate logistics associated with participant travel and accommodation, providing welcome and joining information, booking tickets, and ensuring participant costs are covered for attending Community Camps and other relevant programme events.
  • Manage phone calls, the programme email inbox, filing and maintaining documents, and minute-taking of meetings and all team
  • Financial administration, including Purchase Orders and payments and Fairfx reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate records of who has attended which events within CRM.We are looking for someone who is willing and has a flexible approach to hit the ground running in a fast-paced role.

Ideally, you will have experience in a project coordination or an administrative role. You will also have experience of organising events and an understanding of the needs of the public attending events. Good attention to detail and a track record of meeting important deadlines in a fast-paced environment is essential. Naturally, you'll be highly organised with excellent time management skills and an effective communicator - both verbally and in writing. This role is for someone who is adaptable and keen to 'muck in' as needed, has an eye for detail, personable and efficient.
