About the Role

Charity People is thrilled to be working with Eden Project Communities in their search for their new Marketing Manager.

We warmly welcome candidates from all backgrounds to apply for this role. We are looking for individuals to culturally add to this organisation rather than fit an existing cultural mould, so if you are part of a community that has traditionally been minoritised and underrepresented by the charity sector, we would love to hear from you and will do everything possible to make this a smooth, supportive and fair application process for you.

Eden Project Communities global mission is to create a movement that builds relationships between people and the natural world. They are a growing movement, working on and developing projects locally, nationally, and internationally. Their work is underpinned by the understanding that we need to live with the grain of nature and that everything is interconnected. Their projects aim to stimulate, educate, and empower. Eden Project explores the interconnectedness of all living things and demonstrate the power of what people can do when they come together to protect the planet.

In post, you will:

  • Lead on content development, creation, and delivery to create compelling visual stories, to optimise their external presence, drive engagement with the Eden brand and inspire actions amongst the organisation's audiences.
  • You will develop and deliver an e-comms strategy to engage new and existing audiences with the organisation's core campaign activities: you will inspire action!
  • You'll monitor the effectiveness of e-comms through analysis of unsubscribes, open and conversion rates; test new campaigns using multi-variant and subject line testing; report performance, and adjust strategy accordingly. You will be a key player at the helm!

Ideally, you will have previous experience in a similar role, driving behaviour change and participation through digital means, with an in-depth knowledge of current digital trends and tactics. You must be confident in developing and executing a marketing plan using the full marketing mix, with a focus on creating, executing, and coordinating innovative and creative multi-channel marketing campaigns. You will be required to source, analyse, and make recommendations on data both in the market, and from social media analytics and CRM.

You must be collaborative, highly autonomous, and be comfortable in a fast-paced campaign environment with a high volume of activity. The role would be best suited to a someone with strong organisation skills, with a highly creative approach to work, with attention to detail over copy and imagery. You must be an adaptive thinker, and be sensitive and reflexive to ever-changing market trends.
