About the Role

Charity People is thrilled to be working with Eden Project Communities in their search for their new Digital Content Manager.  We warmly welcome candidates from all backgrounds to apply for this role. We are looking for individuals to culturally add to this organisation rather than fit an existing cultural mould, so if you are part of a community that has traditionally been minoritised and underrepresented by the charity sector, we would love to hear from you and will do everything possible to make this a smooth, supportive and fair application process for you.

Eden Project's Communities global mission is to create a movement that builds relationships between people and the natural world. They are a growing movement, working on and developing projects locally, nationally, and internationally. Their work is underpinned by the understanding that we need to live with the grain of nature and that everything is interconnected. Their projects aim to stimulate, educate, and empower. Eden Project explores the interconnectedness of all living things and demonstrate the power of what people can do when they come together to protect the planet.

Working within the Digital, Marketing and PR teams, you will be the digital content lead, and will undertake the following core tasks:

  • Work closely with Digital colleagues to develop content across the full range of digital disciplines
  • Work closely with the Head of Digital on website projects including website building, providing usability insight and suggestions, creating blogs and engaging content, and linking to CRM and donor journey
  • Lead on content creation, development and delivery to create compelling visual stories
  • Design and deliver digital collateral and campaigns that create a step change in the organisation's reach and engagement
  • Ensure coordinated production and tailored delivery of digital marketing collateral, overseeing delivery of materials required for future campaigns including films, Gifs, content, e-comms, and much more

Ideally, you will have several years' experience in a similar role, driving engagement and participation through digital means, with an in-depth knowledge of current digital trends and tactics.  You will have a thorough understanding of digital activities and of current digital trends and tactics including online copy writing and editing, producing and commissioning multimedia content, overseeing production of email newsletters, social media, web and social analytics; and, you will need to have good creative judgment to advise on content, copy and channel usage, and much more!

The charity is keen to see applications from collaborative individuals who are clear communicators, comfortable in a fast-paced campaign environment with a high volume of activity; you will routinely need to reprioritise plans and activities to meet changing needs of the organisation at short notice with pace and accuracy.  You must be an adaptive thinker, relying on best practice and experience to identify new approaches to extending their campaign reach. You must be the next champion of the organisation's digital content!
